Leaders - Core Team

Dave & Sarah Wuyts are leaders of the congregation and have two children, Ben & Tristan. Dave is employed fulltime by Gosbecks. They share a passion for the Father’s Love – God’s motivation for salvation. They know their need of the Grace of God and love to soak in his presence. Dave preaches, leads worship, and leads others into the freedom of hearing the Voice of God and living in the river. Sarah is an avid prophetic worshipper who loves to dance and enjoy the presence of God and is learning more and more about contemplative prayer. She also loves painting, walking Lucy their Border Collie, horse-riding and gardening when there’s time! Dave likes Fishing, lots of sports (mainly watching!) and classic cars. They love to drink coffee (especially Tim Hortons) with people and laugh a lot.

Gareth and Gail Mitchell are part of the core leadership team, and Gareth is also a trustee of the charitable trust that governs the congregation.  They have two children and have lived in Colchester and been members of the church for over 15 years.  Gareth works as a manager in local government and Gail in health promotion in the NHS locally.  Gail has oversight of the children and young people’s work in the church, and loves to see young people grow in their relationship with Jesus.  Gareth’s calling is to the marketplace and he is passionate about people management and supporting people with their personal development.  Gail has recently discovered the joy of tending to an allotment, and Gareth the joy of eating the produce!”

Steph Codd was married to Dennis for 38 years till he went to be with Jesus in October 2007. They were in Leadership together till then. He was greatly loved by many all across the town. Click here for more info about Den. Steph is part of the Core team, a trustee, and heads up the Pastoral team with Tracey. Her heart is to see people set free and released into all that they are in Christ. Steph is a grandma with two grown-up children and two grandchildren. She loves music, crossword puzzles, pottering in the garden, Cyril her parrot, and has a soft spot for dogs, especially Neville her Staffie.

Leaders - Wider Team

Martin and Janet Tunstall joined the church in 1996 when they moved to Colchester.  Wanting to attend a local church they visited Gosbecks as it was the nearest, and felt immediately at home. They are keen hill-walkers (time permitting), but also love reading, good films and good food.  They are homegroup leaders, members of the soaking prayer and ministry team, and Martin is a regular speaker on Sundays (always favourably commented on, but that may have something to do with the sweets which usually illustrate his talks!).  They’re happiest when they can encourage others to develop a deeper relationship with God. Martin works for a major bank in London, while Janet looks after the home, her elderly mum, and two grown-up children who almost left home, but decided the comforts were too attractive….

Anne Taylor has been part of the Gosbecks family for about 6 years, learning and experiencing so much of the Father’s Love and how to soak in His presence. During the day she is currently a lecturer at Colchester Institute, working with 16-18 year olds, teaching Business Administration. She is always a daughter of the most high King, a wife to Eddie, a mother to Jon & Jess, mother in law to Rebecca, granny to Matthew and friend to all who will have her! Anne is an enthusiastic member of the soaking prayer team, preaches occasionally, organises conferences, and is the Child Advocate for Gosbecks.

Steve and Tracey Cowell have been married for 28 years and have 4  grown up children, all currently living at home. Their busy household is also 'home' to assorted friends, 3 cats and a dog! Steve works as a computer consultant in a London firm while Tracey is  a full time housewife. Steve is into 'sound and vision' technology and youth ministry. Tracey is involved in expressing, encouraging and releasing worship and intercession through art and plays keyboard. She also preaches occasionally. Both are 'water babes' who love to soak in the river of Gods' presence. They have a strong desire to be water carriers with a particular heart to reach out to the prodigals.
