Vision Statement

"To love the Word, Live in the Presence, and be Light for the world".

Mission Statement:

"Gosbecks Christian Fellowship exists to introduce people to Jesus Christ and to encourage the presence of God in their lives. We do this through intimacy with God in worship and prayer, by involvement in outreach both locally and wider, and by seeing ourselves as representatives of Jesus wherever we are, demonstrating his love. We seek to live by the Bible and to be full of the Holy Spirit."

The Lighthouse

Both our community and our individual lives are just like a Lighthouse. Lighthouses are placed where their light is needed to save ships from the rocks. We believe God places us where we are so that we can shine his light into those places. The lighthouse is a template for our Church practice and the way we live our lives. It is

  • Built solidly on a rock. For us this Rock is Jesus, and the Word of God, the Bible.
  • A strong tower. In the storms of life he is a safe place. The tower signifies learning to live in the presence of God.
  • A Light. From the rock and the tower comes the light! We want to shine Jesus into all the dark places around us: we believe that if we cultivate his presence and trust his word we will be able to do just that.
