Prayer
Prayer is a central part of life at Kingsland Church.
Prayer Breakfasts
Perhaps it is the full English breakfast, or just the chance to be with friends on a Saturday morning, whatever the reason, Saturday morning prayer breakfasts are always popular!
Rob Buckingham leads a mens prayer breakfast 8.30 – 10.30am, every couple of months “There’s a special dynamic when the men get together to worship and pray, fuelled of course by a hearty full English breakfast. We eat, worship and pray together for two hours, bringing to God the things that concern us.”
Nicki Allen leads the Women’s prayer breakfast, 8.30 – 10.30am, normally on the second Saturday of the month. “It is a rare moment to get a Saturday morning without the kids so we take full advantage of the space and indulgence of being together as women of God to worship and pray together for our communities, town and nation.”
To find out when the next breakfast is taking place, keep an eye on the Church Diary.
Prayer Engine - Days of Prayer and Fasting
"We think of it like having an engine roaring away in the background, it’s what keeps us moving on for God and with God - active, dynamic prayer.” For one day each month the Prayer Engine takes place at 6:30 - 8:30am, 12:30 -2:30pm, then at 8 -11pm, taking a break at 9:30. Come for all of it or duck in or out during the break over coffee. It is lead by Bernie and Keith; they both have a passion for prayer. “Prayer rises up out of worship as we meet together to hear what God is saying to us. It’s a time when we can listen to the things God is putting on our hearts for our church, our town, our nation and to respond by bringing these things back to God in prayer. At Prayer Engine people can be bold, often prophetic – listening, praying, stepping out in faith.” See the Church Diary for the date of the next Prayer Engine.
Week day prayer
There is a great little network of women’s groups who meet to pray regularly, Maria facilities this calling for Gods purposes to be done on earth.
Early prayer
We get together to worship and pray at around 7 each Tuesday morning.
