Weekend retreats with Kingsland Church

Weekends away are a highlight of the year for Kingsland Church.

“The men’s weekend is probably my favourite weekend of the year – a wonderful reflection of our strong spirituality and laid back mentality. We go away together to a good location then do what men do best, sit around chatting, drinking coffee (and a few beers), worshipping, talking about how we relate to God and praying for each other. There is the occasional energetic moment when a game of football breaks out, but generally it is really God centred, relaxed and a great break.”

“The women’s weekend is a seriously relaxed affair. It is a rare chance to get away from the daily chores, work and family and to chill out together. Chat, pray, worship and get creative. At the last weekend away we danced, drummed, painted, played giant chequers and of course spent many hours just chatting. God knows that sometimes we need to just relax and then in that quietness he can really speak to us and recharge our batteries for all the things that life brings in the weeks and months ahead.”
