We regularly run Alpha here at Lexden. Each evening consists of a good meal together, a talk aimed at those of us wanting to know more about Christianity, and a chance for group discussion. A great opportunity to ask questions about faith, God and the meaning of life.

We also run the TEN course at Lexden. The course was created by J.John and looks at the Ten Commandments in 10 evenings, each with a meal, a talk and opportunity for discussion. We take the commands in reverse order the course helps us apply them to our lives today

Our first Thursday prayer event is an opportunity for the discipleship groups to come together to pray and worship. An early prayer event each Tuesday at 7am focuses on the love of the father and the filling of the Spirit, and occasionally we hold nights of prayer. There is a prophetic prayer team who meet monthly to pray about the vision and direction of the church and a pastoral prayer team who prayerfully address personal needs.

Along with 18 other churches from around Colchester we take food and hot drinks into the town to distribute amongst the homeless and those in need. We usually provide for around 30 - 40 people each Monday evening

We are starting a partnership with the chaplaincy team at the lakes to offer informal worship services for staff and patients

The young adults are an integral part of church life, but they also have a stream of events and activities that are particularly age appropriate

The men at Lexden often get together for breakfast, chat, prayer for each other and worship together
