Who We Are

We are a group of ordinary people who have been touched by the grace of God. Our aim is to build a church where God is pleased to dwell.

History

We are part of Kingsland Church which has its origins in Lexden Evangelical Church in Colchester. A church has met there since 1884 but in the 1980s we became a much more vibrant, growing and lively church. In 1991 we started a second congregation, Gosbeck's Christian Fellowship, which meets at Gosbeck's school, Colchester and in 1996 a third congregation was established at the Stanway Scout Hall in Villa Road. It is called Kingsland Church, Stanway. Kingsland Church, Tiptree is the most recently established congregation having been planted by Gosbeck's in October 1998. Nevertheless the vision to plant in Tiptree dates from 1991 and has gradually grown over the years. God is with us and there are exciting developments taking place.
